Juan Williams Fired by NPR for Acknowledging Terror Threat on Fox

Juan Williams is generally a reliable moonbat dupe, but he made a fatal flaw while appearing on Fox News to represent the liberal point of view: he dropped the political BS for a moment and expressed sentiments felt by any American who isn’t crazy or stupid. For this thought crime, he has been promptly fired by the rigid leftists who employed him at NPR. As the libs at the NY Times[1] tell it:

The move came after Mr. Williams, who is also a Fox News political analyst, appeared on the “The O’Reilly Factor” on Monday. On the show, the host, Bill O’Reilly, asked him to respond to the notion that the United States was facing a “Muslim dilemma.” Mr. O’Reilly said, “The cold truth is that in the world today jihad, aided and abetted by some Muslim nations, is the biggest threat on the planet.”

Mr. Williams said he concurred with Mr. O’Reilly.

He continued: “I mean, look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”

Anyone too clueless to find it unnerving when people make a pageant of their devotion to the God of Terrorism while onboard airplanes probably needs help getting dressed. But of course we’re not allowed to say so.

Another thought crime:

Mr. Williams also made reference to the Pakistani immigrant who pleaded guilty this month to trying to plant a car bomb in Times Square. “He said the war with Muslims, America’s war is just beginning, first drop of blood. I don’t think there’s any way to get away from these facts,” Mr. Williams said.

Sure there’s a way: fire anyone who dares to acknowledge them, even if he’s a loyal liberal stooge like Williams.

NPR is sufficiently Islamofascistic not to deny why Williams was fired, officially braying that his harmless remarks “were inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices, and undermined his credibility as a news analyst with NPR.”

Williams was already considered tainted in NPR Land for appearing on Fox News, but the firing of a senior correspondent over remarks that 99.9% of Americans would agree with, if only secretly, gives an idea of the ideological militancy imposed at this taxpayer-funded leftist propaganda outfit.

In contrast, no one at NPR felt the need to fire the obnoxious and ill-informed bigot who made this[2]:

Welcome to socialism as applied to the information industry. To state the obvious, not a penny of public funds should go to rigidly intolerant ultra-left soapboxes like NPR and PBS.
