Some have speculated that Donald Trump is trying to build a Lincoln-esque “team of rivals” for his cabinet, where people with diverse opinions will frequently challenge him and subject him to different points of view. Given that, could Megyn Kelly possibly become part of his administration? She’s a respected journalist who often sparred with Trump throughout the campaign. She was asked about the possibility of joining his administration and her answer wasn’t surprising[1].

Kelly recently did an interview with AdWeek and they asked her if she would ever consider a position with the Trump administration if it was offered to her. “No,” she said quickly. “No, I think first of all that’s a younger person’s game. But second of all I don’t need that kind of aggravation in my life, and I have a great job that I don’t want to give up.”

Kelly also said that she hasn’t spoken to Trump since he has been elected. But she has been in contact with Ivanka Trump, his daughter. “I actually think he will sit with me,” she said. “I just want to give him some time.”

Even if she doesn’t work for Trump, it sounds like these two may be on the way to a smoother relationship from here on out.
