What a loser. Katie Couric really thought that no one would notice that she edited a HUGE portion of video out of a tape to make herself look better? The liberal media has reached a new low.

Katie Couric got caught red-handed[3] deceptively editing a gun rights video. The documentary called Under the Gun was supposed to highlight how evil guns are. Instead, Couric and director, Stephanie Soechtig, have been nailed for a long, nine-second manufactured pause that covered up favorable gun responses. In other words, they are suppressing viewpoints that contradict theirs. How very biased and manipulative. How very mainstream media. An audio recording of the question-and-answer session somehow leaked and that told the story and exposed the faux journalism going on.

Celebrated journalist Katie Couric is coming under fire for her role in an anti-gun documentary Under the Gun.

The film’s director, Stephanie Soechtig, is accused of manufacturing a long pause of nine seconds in the film that did not exist in the original taping of the film.

The crafty editing of the film might not have been noticed if there wasn’t an audio recording[5] of the question-and-answer session to validate the claims of the critics.

Couric and Soechtig responded to getting caught: “My intention was to provide a pause for the viewer to have a moment to consider this important question before presenting the facts on Americans’ opinions on background checks,” Soechtig said in a statement. “I never intended to make anyone look bad and I apologize if anyone felt that way.” What laughable bull crap. The first rule of journalism is just be honest and report the facts. The second rule is if you goof, own it. This idiot doubled down on deception. Fail. And then you have Couric… she was unapologetic, only saying, “I support Stephanie’s statement and am very proud of the film.” What an arrogant liar.
