Army Makes MASSIVE Decision On Green Beret They Wanted Discharged – For Beating A Child Rapist… [VIDEO]

Sergeant 1st. Class and Green Beret Charles Martland ran afoul of the US Army when he stood up to a child rapist in Afghanistan and beat the ever-loving crap out of him. If I remember right, the Islamist had chained the little boy to a pole and raped him at will. The child’s mother ran to Martland, who responded with one other soldier. He did the right thing and for that, the Army wanted to force him out. They were going to honor Islamic culture over one of our own. Martland was discharged and Americans were infuriated. Over 340,000 Americans signed a petition to let Martland stay on in the military. Hollywood actor Harvey Keitel had this to say: “Whomever owns the idea that decided to reprimand these two men instead of giving them a medal for their actions should be asked what the hell they would’ve done if it was their child in question…” That’s a great question. We are still waiting on an answer and the military may have just issued one by reversing their stance on Martland.

Green Beret

From the Independent Journal:

In a stunning reversal, the U.S. Army decided late Thursday to retain a decorated Green Beret it had planned to kick out after he physically confronted a local Afghan commander accused of raping a boy over the course of many days.

Sgt 1st Class Charles Martland, confirmed the Army’s decision to retain him when reached by Fox News, who has been covering the story in depth for the past eight months and first broke the story of the Army’s decision in August to kick out Martland over the incident, which occurred in northern Afghanistan in 2011.

“I am real thankful for being able to continue to serve,” said Martland when reached on the telephone by Fox News. “I appreciate everything Congressman Duncan Hunter and his Chief of Staff, Joe Kasper did for me.”

Martland fought the military on this tooth and nail and he won. Congressman Duncan Hunter of California, who has been fighting for Martland, said: “The Army did the right thing and we won – the American people, won.” When Martland was asked about being kicked out before this decision he said, “kicking me out is morally wrong.” It’s amazing to me that the Army would do an about face like this after making such a big deal of booting Martland. Maybe he had a really strong legal case or maybe the PR was massively hurting the Army. Who knows? I know this… it won’t be a cakewalk for Martland if he stays in. It will be an act of defiance and determination to see it to the end. The guy is a hero in my book and they treated him like crap. I pray for a new, strong, constitutional Commander in Chief like Ted Cruz. There are a lot of wrongs that need righting out there since Obama swept through.
