The North Koreans are now doubling and tripling down. They want war evidently. They just issued a statement that they will test missiles weekly, figuratively flipping the bird at President Trump and the US. At a news conference at the UN today, North Korea’s permanent representative Ambassador Kim In-ryong, stridently condemned the US missile strikes in Syria, which targeted an airbase after a chemical attack by the government. He said the US was “disturbing global peace and stability and insisting on [a] gangster-like logic.” Dictators of an evil feather, flock together.

This weekend, North Korea made a gigantic display of their military prowess for the world to see. They did try to launch a missile and it blew up almost right on cue. Many believe the US was behind the explosion, using a cyber attack to take it out. It’s been done before, so it would not be a huge surprise. They haven’t tested another nuke yet, but I’m not sure we are going to wait for that. I personally believe we are going to hit North Korea, but only when we are ready. The Chinese and Russians are now surveilling our armada en route to the Korean peninsula. Giddy up boys.

North Korea will continue to test missiles despite international condemnation and increasing military tensions with the US, a senior official has told the BBC in Pyongyang.

“We’ll be conducting more missile tests on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis,” Vice Foreign Minister Han Song-Ryol told the BBC’s John Sudworth.

He said that an “all out war” would result if the US took military action.

Earlier, US Vice-President Mike Pence warned North Korea not to test the US.

He said his country’s “era of strategic patience” with North Korea was over.

Mr Pence arrived in Seoul on Sunday hours after North Korea carried out a failed missile launch.

Tensions have been escalating on the peninsula, with heated rhetoric from both North Korea and the US.

Speaking alongside South Korea’s acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn, Mr Pence said North Korea should not test US President Donald Trump.

“Just in the past two weeks, the world witnessed the strength and resolve of our new president in actions taken in Syria and Afghanistan,” Mr Pence said.

“North Korea would do well not to test his resolve or the strength of the armed forces of the United States in this region.”

He reiterated US support for South Korea, telling his host: “We are with you 100%.”

North Korea is supposedly banned by the UN from testing missiles or nukes. Meh… they don’t give a crap. North Korea’s aim is to be able to put a nuclear warhead on an intercontinental ballistic missile that can reach targets around the world, especially the US. Pyongyang has claimed to have miniaturized nuclear warheads for use on missiles, though some experts have cast doubt on that given the lack of evidence. Others firmly believe they already have such devices.

Some are calling this the Cuban Missile Crisis in slow motion. But there’s one important difference here… this crisis is much more likely to come to explode and spark a world war. North Korea’s deputy U.N. ambassador accused the United States on Monday of turning the Korean peninsula into “the world’s biggest hotspot” and creating “a dangerous situation in which a thermonuclear war may break out at any moment.”

After 25 years of trying to deal patiently with North Korea over its nuclear program, Pence said, “all options are on the table” to deal with the threat. And he warned that any use of nuclear weapons by Pyongyang would be met with “an overwhelming and effective response.” I think that pretty much spells it out. If the Hermit Kingdom dares to test a nuke, game on.
