Mind-Boggling! Trump’s Syria Strike Win Has Democrats Flocking To Support Him?!

This past week the President of Syria, Bashar Al Assad, attacked his own citizens using the deadly nerve gas, Sarin. Men, women and precious little children lay dying in the streets. That’s right, Assad brutally and cruelly murdered his own people. And President Trump responded in no uncertain terms, ordering the USS Ross and the USS Porter to launch a total of 59 Tomahawk missiles at Syrian airbases, an attack designed to limit Assad’s ability to use them to continue barbarically killing Syrians.

President Trump said “Assad choked out the lives of helpless men, women and children. Even beautiful babies were cruelly murdered in this very barbaric attack. No child of God should ever suffer such horror.”

Captain Jeff Davis, a Pentagon spokesperson, said, “It looked like the attacks had severely damaged or destroyed Syrian aircraft and support infrastructure and equipment … reducing the Syrian Government’s ability to deliver chemical weapons.”

And surprisingly, this action taken by Trump appears to have netted him support from some very strange quarters. A number of Democrats have come out in support of the strikes, including Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and although not directly supporting the action, even Elizabeth Warren’s statements seemed not to condemn it. Will wonders never cease? These three in addition to all other elected Democrats, have spent months and months hating, attacking and smearing Trump. But this week, at least for some of them, that all changed.

Nancy Pelosi said, “Tonight’s strike in Syria appears to be a proportional response to the regime’s use of chemical weapons.”

And Warren stated, “The use of chemical weapons ‎against innocent Syrian men, women and children is a clear violation of international law. The Syrian regime must be held accountable for this horrific act.”

Additionally, even GOP Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham support the action, despite their track record of not being all that supportive of Trump or his actions.

We finally have a Commander-in-Chief who is standing up to despots like Assad. And that is winning him support from unlikely sources. Trump has made good on the red line in the sand of our previous President, who seemed always eager to move the line back and never do anything about Assad. That all changed this week. Human rights abusers beware, your days are numbered.
