America Left Adopts Taliban Tactics in Destruction of Historical Icons – What Comes Next?

What the American left…[1] i.e. the communists… indeed act like are the Taliban in their tactics of destruction and pulling down monuments. They are also reminiscent of ISIS and Palestinian terrorists. The black clothing, the masks and even their flag. Take your pick… it resembles both a communist flag and an ISIS flag. Both are evil and both are violent.

Look at how the Taliban destroyed ancient Buddhist statues and how ISIS razes the Christian areas they enter… destroying or converting churches and obliterating landmarks. It’s identical in practice. They have learned from one another. These are old tactics that have been employed since long before the terror of Genghis Khan. All of the above eschews history and doesn’t care if they destroy and erase it. Violence is their bible and destruction is their faith.

As the American left targets historical icons for removal and/or destruction, one is reminded of the way the Taliban destroyed centuries-old Buddhist statues and the Islamic State’s ongoing violence against Christian churches and landmarks.

In short, the American left, the Taliban, and the Islamic State (ISIS) hold two things in common. First, an inability to appreciate the whole of history as it happened, which includes good times and bad. And secondly, a tendency to express this lack of appreciation via violence and destruction.

For example, on March 12, 2001, the Telegraph reported that “the world’s two largest standing Buddhas – one of them 165ft high – were blown up by the Taliban in Afghanistan.” The statues were 1,700 years old, yet the Taliban “drilled holes into the torsos of the two statues and then placed dynamite charges inside the holes to blow them up.”

Taliban Foreign Minister Wakil Ahmad Muttawakil said, “We do admit the relics were the cultural heritage of Afghanistan, but the part that contradicts our Islamic beliefs we would not like to have them any more.”

Today, the left is pulling over monuments. How long do you think it will be until they are blowing them up? How long before they start in earnest a campaign of terror that includes murder, torture and rape? Not long, if history is any indicator at all. These are communists we are talking about. They have a political agenda they feel they must carry out at all costs and morality and faith in God have nothing to do with it. Power and control do. The communists and the leftist radicals have merged with the Democrats now. They are one and the same.

Our Founding Fathers and the Constitution contradict what the communists believe in, so like the Taliban and ISIS, they want to destroy them. They want to rewrite history and mold reality closer to their own vision. Workers World Party member Qasima Wideman said, “If the people decide they want to remove such a statue, that should be their right.” It is the communist way. Laura Ingraham asked, “What else will be subjected to [the American left’s] eradication and enunciation? … What about books? Are they going to start burning books too?” Well yes, that’s what the Nazis did too and it is what Stalin did as well. If it does not conform to their manifesto, they will seek to destroy it. That is why you have to stop communists before they gain strength within the Republic.
