This Elephant, who was legally armed, didn’t wait around for the Animal Cops to show up. She took care of business and defended her children. That’s how it’s done and that’s what the crazy Tusk Control people don’t understand.

Daily Mail[2] reports this is the shocking moment an unsuspecting buffalo was tossed high in the air by an elephant.

The buffalo was attacked by the huge animal after getting a little too close while stalking his herd in the Maasai Mara, Kenya.

A series of amazing pictures shows the elephant bull charging towards the buffalo with three baby elephants behind him.

He can be seen digging his tusks into the buffalo before tossing him into the air. The buffalo died after the attack.

The scene was captured by amateur photographer Kimberly Maurer, who was on holiday at the game reserve.

The 56-year-old said: ‘I started looking through the images on the back of my camera immediately after the attack and became very excited to discover that I had actually captured the event in detail.

‘This photograph was, no doubt, a once-in-a-lifetime capture for me. As you would imagine, his carcass was a meal for another animal or two.’
