As Temperatures Plunge, Moonbat Media Spins

Over half a million people in the Northeast were still without power[1] yesterday, having been hit by global warming in the form of a vicious ice storm. Elsewhere, 13 inches of snow fell in North Dakota. We’re not even halfway into December.

Do you think the conspicuously cooling climate will cause the moonbat establishment to back off from the global warming power grab? If so think again. Here’s AP[2], spinning like a dervish:

[G]lobal warming … is a ticking time bomb that President-elect Barack Obama can’t avoid. … Global warming is accelerating. Time is close to running out, and Obama knows it. …

“We need to start in January making significant changes,” [Al] Gore said in a recent telephone interview with The Associated Press. “This year coming up is the most important opportunity the world has ever had to make progress in really solving the climate crisis.” … Gore called the situation “the equivalent of a five-alarm fire that has to be addressed immediately.” …

Ironically, 2008 is on pace to be a slightly cooler year in a steadily rising temperature trend line [that stopped rising in 1998]. Experts say it’s thanks to a La Nina weather variation. While skeptics are already using it as evidence of some kind of cooling trend, it actually illustrates how fast the world is warming.

Cooling temperatures illustrate how fast the world is warming. Cold is warmth, freedom is slavery, 2+2=5.

Who to believe, Al Gore or your chattering teeth?
