Box Office Disaster — No One Expected The New Gun Control Movie “Miss Sloane” To Flop This Hard [VIDEO]

Hollywood should know by now that movies with an obviously liberal slant almost never do well. (I’m willing to make an exception for “Minority Report.”)

However, just because they “should” doesn’t mean they do. This is evidenced by the fact that the pro-gun control movie “Miss Sloane” recently rolled into theaters and flopped in a fantastic way.

If I’m being honest, it looks like a well-made, high-budget movie. Unfortunately, it’s so unrealistic that it should be a fairy tale. Likewise, it panders to a small, specific audience and is doomed to alienate millions upon millions of movie-goers.

You’d think they’d know that’s bad for business.

In case you’ve never heard of this particular film, the trailer is below. You’ll want to see it so you can fully appreciate how and why it’s done so badly.

Sufficiently disgusted? Good, then the following information will make you cackle with glee.

According to Fox News[2], “Miss Sloane” was shown in 1,648 theaters opening weekend, but only managed to net a dismal $1.9M in ticket sales. While the movie was only projected to see in the neighborhood of $5M in sales, this poor opening weekend will put them way behind in recouping the $13M in production costs.

Just because it’s a popular line in Hollywood, doesn’t mean that it’s popular in the rest of America.

For your information, movies with guns have a tendency to do much better than movies about taking away guns. Just so you know.
