BREAKING: Katie Couric Sued For MILLIONS For Defamation In Anti-Gun Documentary…

BFFs Katie Couric and Stephanie Soechtig are facing a BIG lawsuit. Together they produced and directed an anti-gun ‘documentary’ called Under The Gun. I guess Ms. Couric didn’t realize that truth in reporting ALSO applies to documentaries. Their movie is more like fiction and because of the dishonest practices used in completing the film… they might be paying dearly.

Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) is an advocacy group for 2nd Amendment rights. When they discovered how dishonest the production of Under The Gun was they filed a $12 Million defamation lawsuit against the besties, Katie Couric and Stephanie Soechtig, Atlas Films and Studio 3 Partners.

The film shows members of the VCDL appearing silent, stumped and avoiding eye contact while being asked questions by Katie Couric. To the contrary, the unedited audio recording of the interview reveals the VCDL members did indeed respond to Couric’s questions.

In the filing, the VCDL, Daniel L. Hawes, Esq., and Patricia Webb allege that the filmmakers knowingly and maliciously manufactured the fictional exchange by splicing in footage that the filmmakers took surreptitiously after telling the interviewees to be silent for ten seconds so that recording equipment could be calibrated. The filing also contains side-by-side screenshots of the film’s footage of the VCDL members and anti-gun advocates, alleging that the filmmakers manipulated lighting to cast shadows on the VCDL members and to make them appear sinister and untrustworthy.

Ms. Soechtig has twice confessed (on video and in writing) to committing federal felony crimes. That could lead to criminal charges against at least her along with any other Under the Gun staff/producers who took part in the conspiracy to make this fictitious documentary appear to be real.

Special Agents, Thomas Atteberry and Mickey D. Leadingham are required to start an investigation into these confessions. I doubt much will happen to Katie Couric or her cohorts from this case. but it would sure be nice to watch her FINALLY get caught and pay for her dishonest reporting.
