Chairman Zero Skips Normandy, Afraid of Offending Germans

If we had been cursed with our current leadership during the rise of totalitarianism in Europe, would we have stood up to the Nazis? Here’s the answer[1]: Obama nixed a stop at Normandy during his recent European trip, lest he offend Germans.

If only he would start worrying about offending normal Americans who cling[2] neurotically to our Bibles and constitutional rights.

Why would Germans be offended anyway? As Thomas Lifson[3] points out, their government has thoroughly repudiated Nazism; maybe BHO was actually concerned that he would offend the Nazis’ Muslim allies.

Heroes died at Normandy so that America could have the luxury of growing soft enough to allow someone like Obama in the White House. But not all foreign threats to our liberty are in the past, any more than all threats to our liberty are foreign.

Too bad for Hitler he didn’t live to witness this travesty.
