Luckily, it seems like there is at least one thing Americans can agree on right now. Whether you are on the left or the right side of the aisle, most people are speaking out against one common thing. The ridiculous hypocrisy of Colin Kaepernick.

Colin Kaepernick has been made famous by his choice to not stand during the National Anthem. He has been incredibly vocal in his disgust with America in general. And always has something to say about the way the country is being run. He has become quite the hot topic in political discussion.

But a week and a half ago when he had the opportunity to actually vote and take a stand against the issues he can’t stop talking about…. what did he do? He literally did nothing. He didn’t even take the time to vote. And it turns out he never has.

According to the Sacramento Bee, “Kaepernick, who was raised in Turlock, (California) turned 18 in 2005, but he has not registered to vote in California at any point in the last decade, according to records maintained by the California Secretary of State. He also did not register in Nevada while he attended the University of Nevada, Reno, from 2006 to 2010, according to the Washoe County Registrar of Voters. That means he missed presidential elections in 2008 and 2012 – when Democrat Barack Obama was elected president – in addition to a variety of state and local elections in other years.”

So, if you are struggling to relate to a friend on the other side of the aisle, just bring up American sweetheart, Colin Kaepernick. We can all agree he is a hypocrite and completely ridiculous. Do I believe he has every right to speak up? Absolutely. Do I think he is ridiculous, juvenile and full of it? Completely.

Go vote next time.
