Some intrepid ecokooks recently took to the seas to prove we don’t need fossil fuel:
The team, which left Mount Batten Marina in Plymouth on 19 April in a boat named the Fleur, aimed to rely on sail, solar and man power on a 580-mile (933km/h) journey to and from the highest point of the Greenland ice cap.
The expedition was followed by up to 40 schools across the UK to promote climate change awareness.
But their adventure upon the Fleur soon wilted, much like the floundering global warming hoax itself. One climate crusader knocked his head on the wind generator, and stormy weather tore solar panels from the yacht, which took on water from the waves crashing over it, forcing the crew to huddle in the forward cabin.
They had set sail on April 27; appropriately, they were rescued on May Day — by an oil tanker.
Maybe environmentalists should stay in their classrooms, TV studios, and bureaucratic offices where it’s safe, instead of venturing out into the real world where grownups will be put to the trouble of saving them from their useless selves.
