If Hillary Clinton was a low-level, unconnected government employee, she would have been been behind bars by now. The news keeps getting worse about the extent she abused the law to hide official government emails: using her own email server, secretly emailing about Benghazi and then wiping the server clean. Now Congress is considering criminal charges against her.
Hillary Clinton should face criminal charges for permanently removing emails from the private server she used while serving as secretary of state, according to Sen. Charles Grassley.
The Iowa Republican, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, called Clinton’s decision to wipe the server clean a “great mistake she made, and it could be a violation of law; probably is a violation of law.”
During a Tuesday appearance on Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show,” Grassley noted that “some people are suggesting she could even be prosecuted.”
“It’s as simple as this: She was using a private email address instead of a government one, and it probably violates the Freedom of Information Act, it probably violates national security legislation laws,” he said.
Host Steve Malzberg suggested that Hillary hid the emails in order to avoid being caught like Richard Nixon was. So far, the House of Representatives has not been able to get Hillary to turn over the server for investigation, which is probably an abuse of the separation of powers. It is incredible that the Democrats’ likely candidate for president has likely engaged in criminal behavior at the highest level of government. Hopefully Americans realize the seriousness of this and do not vote for her. She’ll make the Clinton I years look tame.
Watch the video below, where Grassley further suggests there is also probably impropriety with Hillary’s employment of aide Huma Abedin.
