Justice Thomas Welcomes New Conservative ERA On Supreme Court Front – Makes This Promise [VIDEO]

Justice Clarence Thomas has spoken, ladies and gentlemen, and his words are the exact ones that every government official in this country needs to repeat for their own public service job. Judge Thomas shared that he – much like the late Antonin Scalia – believes that judges should limit the Supreme Court’s powers[1].

While attending a dinner dedicated to Justice Scalia, Clarence Thomas stated that he believes that the court has too often granted rights to people which are not found in the Constitution and thus, are not rights at all.

He stated that last year’s decision to make same-sex marriage legal across the country was one such example of the Supreme Court’s overreach into powers that do not naturally exist for them.

‘With such unchecked judicial power, we leave it for the least accountable branch to decide what newly discovered rights should be appended to our Constitution.’

Justice Thomas even dove into Abraham Lincoln’s famous Gettysburg Address and also said, ‘be dedicated to the unfinished business for which Justice Scalia gave his last full measure of devotion’.

Thomas said the ‘odd couple’ that was made from a White New Yorker like Scalia and a black man from Georgia, wasn’t lost on him: ‘But together, we soon became our own band of brothers.’

Thursday, Justice Samuel Alito gave his two cents on the unexpectedly upbeat movement that conservatives have grasped with this last election, while speaking to the Federalist Society.

Alito said Scalia left a sort of motto for all of the many conservative organizations to follow and Alito said it was this:

‘We are left to ask ourselves WWSD – What Would Scalia Do?’

Many if not most of the Society’s 40,000 members had resigned themselves to having Scalia’s seat filled by someone more liberal, like a Judge Merrick Garland, since they fully expected to have a Hillary Clinton administration.

President Barack Obama had nominated Judge Merrick Garland to fill Scalia’s shoes, but Garland’s appointment seems to have been completely destroyed by ‘Hurricane Trump’, as Society President Eugene Meyer described it.
