Man assaults online girlfriend – because she didn’t look like her online photo

crnlsjfrsn[1]Cornelius Jefferson moved from Georgia to Kentucky to finally meet his online girlfriend – but discovered she looked nothing like her online profile photo when he got there. Instead of handling the situation like an adult, Jefferson proceeded to assault her. [2]

The Daily Mail reports, “he allegedly choked her with both hands around the neck and threw food on her and left the scene on foot with two suitcases.”

He was charged with assault fourth degree for domestic violence and is being held in the Laurel County detention facility. This exemplifies the problem with meeting people online in our do-anything, say-anything modern society. Be very careful about arranging to meet people online who you have never met in person. This poor lady found out the hard way. And although she did not deserve what happened to her, it’s best not to pretend to be someone you’re not online.
