Man chosen by Internet audience for free gasoline from a local TV station gets the surprise of a lifetime (and no, it has NOTHING to do with gasoline).

Surprise Squad[1]This is one of the most touching, amazing stories you will ever watch – and there’s not just one tear jerker, but two separate, surprising tear jerkers. No doubt as a result of the Obamaeconomy, KVVU Fox 5 in Las Vegas started a “Surprise Squad,” which drives to gas stations, then asks viewers over the app Periscope which vehicle they should offer a free tank of gas to. The viewers typed in their comments, and settled on an old white truck, which appears to be an old Dodge Ram. Fox 5’s Monica Jackson can be seen approaching David Winkelspecht, a veteran, who tells her he is about to put $5 into his truck, apparently all the money he has.

You’ll never believe what happens next.[2] Watch the two videos below from Fox 5 and dare to keep a dry eye.[3]

It’s pretty amazing in this still recovering economy that a small news team is looking out for folks like that – and they didn’t just give Winkelspecht a free tank of gas, but went way, way beyond that. As Winkelspecht said after hearing what they were going to do for him, “God always says wait for the bigger prize at the ending.”
