It’s a sad day in America when you could possibly be violently assaulted or even killed for telling people who voted for a candidate they don’t like.

Mitchell Mormon Jr. was shot dead outside of an Atlanta bar while on a date. The murder occurred after a man said something disrespectful to Mormon Jr.’s date, prompting the man to make a joke about voting for Donald Trump.

The man was gunned down outside of Church bar in Atlanta, while getting into an argument with another male and making a joke about voting for Donald Trump.

Mormon Jr. was on a date with Shaunita Walker, who was shot in the arm during the incident. Walker was re-entering the bar to retrieve her cellphone when she claims that a Hispanic man accosted her and said something disrespectful to her. When she told Mormon, he confronted the man, who is believed to be the shooter.

They got into an argument before the suspect left and came back around the corner with a gun, firing off several rounds into the victims and fatally wounding Mormon.

Mormon had just began a new job, where he’d met Walker. He is also survived by three children, ranging in age from three months-old to eight years-old.

The suspect(s) have not been located, but if you have any information that may lead to their arrest, you’re encouraged to contact CrimeStoppers at 404-577-TIPS.

Please pray for these families affected by this senseless violence and pray for the United States of America, because this is not how things should be.
