Megyn Fires Back at Bill O’Reilly: Drops Bombshell on Live TV

SHOTS FIRED! Megyn Kelly has set focus on Bill O’Reilly as her target after he has very publicly criticized her during one of his appearances on CBS. (She dishes it out, but can’t take it maybe?)

The Fox News host made her own appearance on the same program recently and there was asked how she felt about O’Reilly’s comments that made it appear she was making Fox News Network look bad due to her speaking out on being the victim of sexual harassment.

Her response:

‘Well I will say this, I am very proud of the fact that I discussed this with Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch before I wrote this chapter in my book, and we were all on the same page,’ she said.

‘And it was an important chapter to include and I am proud of them that they feel as I do, that sunlight is the best disinfectant.’

At this point Norah O’Donnel chimed in to ask Kelly another follow-up question: ‘So you don’t feel like you are making the company look bad?”

First of all, personally…these questions are bull crap. I don’t quite understand how the wrong actions of another would put blame on Kelly for making the company look bad. Whether I like that woman’s methods of reporting or not, it just seems wrong.

She also apparently feels this way, as you can see in her response:

‘I believe that Roger Ailes made the company look bad.’

O’Reilly had more to say on his own program the other night about Kelly. After playing a clip from his CBS appearance earlier in the day where this all went down he had this comment to make afterwards:

‘If somebody is paying you a wage, you owe that person or company allegiance. If you don’t like what’s happening in the workplace, go to human resources or leave.’

O’Reilly himself was asked if he had read Kelly’s new book himself. He responded with saying he had not had the chance to read the book because he wasn’t given an early copy while at the same time stating:

‘Look, I’m trying to stay out of any of that stuff. I wish her well. She’s a very smart woman. It’s a tough book environment. We’ll see if people respond to it.’

Then the big question came. Would Kelly get the chance to appear on his show. His response was a bit of a slap in and of itself:

‘I don’t know. We’ll see if she’s going to be on the show or not. I want to be that candid. I’m not that interested in this.’

Norah O’Donnell immediately took it upon herself to be… oh I don’t know. Obnoxious?

She says: ‘You’re not interested in sexual harassment?”

At this point, O’Reilly became clearly annoyed and responded by telling her he’s not interested in basically litigating something that is finished that makes my network look bad….however, check out HOW he said it.

‘I’m not interested in basically litigating something that is finished that makes my network look bad. Okay?
‘I’m not interested in making my network look bad at all. That doesn’t interest me one bit. ‘

Yep, he wasn’t happy.

O’Donnell didn’t stop there though…

“Is that what she’s doing?”

O’Reilly kept it straight to the point with his response:

‘I don’t know. But I’m not going to even bother with it. I’ve got a country that’s in a transition, political transition. All right. I’ve got a kids book that I want millions of kids to look at. That’s what I’m interested in. Not making my network look bad.’ ‘Look, it’s open season.

Let’s whack the Fox News channel. I’ve had enough of it,’ said O’Reilly.

‘It’s a place to work, all right? We do good work. We do honest work there.

‘I’m not going to buy into let’s use the Fox News channel as a pinata, I don’t think it’s right.’

There is truth in that. The network isn’t to blame for Kelly’s experience, it is one man and that one man’s perverted intentions. What a tough situation…Kelly’s quality of life has been really hard having to work for Fox with no success. The Fox Network has done nothing to help her be successful in her career, offered her no opportunity at all to flourish and make a name for herself.

Oh…wait.
