Obama’s Economic Policies Hate Black People

Were this story to come out between 1/20/01 – 1/19/2009, might the headline not read “Bush’s Economic Policies Discriminate Against Blacks?

Unemployment among blacks in New York City[1] has increased much faster than for whites, and the gap appears to be widening at an accelerating pace, new studies of jobless data have found.

While unemployment rose steadily for white New Yorkers from the first quarter of 2008 through the first three months of this year, the number of unemployed blacks in the city rose four times as fast, according to a report to be released on Monday by the city comptroller’s office. By the end of March, there were about 80,000 more unemployed blacks than whites, according to the report, even though there are roughly 1.5 million more whites than blacks here.

Face it, Obama hates Blacks, unless they happen to work in the road repair industry, which seems to be primarily what Obama’s Generational Theft Act seems aimed at.

Economists said they were not certain why so many more blacks were losing their jobs in New York, especially when a large share of the layoffs in the city have been in fields where they are not well represented, like finance and professional services. But in those sectors, the economists suggested that blacks may have had less seniority when layoffs occurred. And black workers hold an outsize share of the jobs in retailing and other service industries that have been shrinking as consumers curtail their spending.

OK, back to reality rather than using unhinged liberal talking points. The fact is, the jobs that have been lost and continue to be lost have been in a large section of white collar work, not just blue collar. People do not purchase when their confidence is down, hence the losses in retail. To what point are all these road and infrastructure repair projects when they do not have the people qualified to do them? Are middle class folks, black, white, Hispanic, etc, supposed to shift from working sales, finance, building cars and houses, etc, to standing around resurfacing a road or fixing a bridge? Not that there is anything wrong with infrastructure construction jobs, but, do we really want unqualified people fixing bridges? And if people are not buying products, if money is not moving around, then where does the money come from to pay for the infrastructure projects? Oh, that’s right, they will just print more and leave the debt for future generations.

The Obama administration on Monday will release a new report showing jobs in the health care and environmental sectors are growing at a fast pace as the economy transforms, and it will stress training programs and the need for workers to remain flexible.

Really? Has anyone heard of these jobs? Know anyone who has taken one? Seen advertisement for them? Beyond the norm, of course.

The White House said the report will identify changes in the labor market as economic drivers shift from the financial services and other sectors to health care and environmental. It also will credit the $787 billion economic stimulus plan — which Republicans are saying has “failed” — with a rebound in the construction and manufacturing sectors.

In other words, the White House is thrilled that the economy may shift away from productive capitalistic jobs to those of grasshopper jobs with lots of people to take care of the grasshoppers. A feelings based economy.

“The report emphasizes the importance of worker flexibility given the dynamic nature of the U.S. labor market. Of particular interest is the expected shift towards jobs that require workers with greater analytical and interactive skills,” the White House said.

A feelings based economy.
