Snopes Caught Discrediting Conservative Sites To Cover For Kerry’s State Department!

Anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows that Snopes is biased and not to be trusted with anything regarding politics. Sure, you can probably rely on their articles about whether or not the Earth is round, but beyond that, you should steer clear.

Their bias and misleading “facts” have finally been brought to light when they engaged in a cover-up for Secretary of State John Kerry.

The Daily Caller posted an investigative article in September, which revealed millions of tax dollars were sent from the State Department to a charity created by Secretary of State John Kerry’s daughter.

The article states that the State Dept. sent the money to the charity through the Peace Corps. Snopes, however, falsely claimed that The Daily Caller reported that Kerry himself sent the money.

The truth is, the Peace Corps. has given nearly $9M of State Dept. money (read: tax-payer dollars) to Seed Global Health, a nonprofit established by Dr. Vanessa Kerry.

While the article never blamed Kerry himself, it did bring to light his potentially controversial relationship with the money, which Snopes conveniently forgot to discuss.

They did admit that Kerry was in the position in 2012, but left out some crucial information, like who provided the funds to the Peace Corps.

The truth is that Kerry’s Senate committee held the confirmation hearing for Eric Goosby, who was OGAC [Office of the U.S. Global Aids Coordinator] chief when Seed received its initial award. And under Senate rules, Kerry had the power to prevent Goosby’s confirmation by putting a hold on it — a fact Emery conveniently left out.

At the end of the day, Snopes is no less biased than anyone else, despite their claims otherwise. The unfortunate part is that people trust them to weed out the lies, when they cannot be trusted to do so.
