Running for president on a neo-Marxist platform has been very very good to Bernie Sanders:

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is the proud new owner of a summer home in the Champlain Islands, Seven Days has confirmed.

The Burlington resident last week plopped down nearly $600,000 on a lakefront camp in North Hero.

Sanders’ new crib has four bedrooms and 500 feet of Lake Champlain beachfront on the east side of the island — facing Vermont, not New York. The Bern will keep his home in Burlington and use the new camp seasonally.

$600,000 is more than most of us will ever spend on a home, much less on a summer home. Many decades have passed since Bernie Sanders last did any constructive work. Yet wealth must be created before anyone can spend it. That is why Sanders and his kind believe in redistributing wealth on a coercive basis. They know that the richest person in the starving remnants of socialist Venezuela is Hugo Chavez’s daughter.

Apologies for belaboring the obvious, but socialism is a scam. Bernie Sanders is not a well-meaning old kook; he is a greedy con man who backs up his swindle with government force.
