Would you eat this burger from McDonald’s? If so, this is what you’ll have to do to get it…

hamburger[1]McDonald’s has unveiled a new hamburger only in China, dubbed the “Modern China Burger.” The speckled light-gray color is peculiar, making people wonder why and what it means.[2]

Mashable reports,

Some claim the burger looks like large slabs of granite. Time Out Beijing suggested the burger’s color is symbolic of China’s “clouds of pollution.”

To us, the gray burger resembles a hardened Oreo McFlurry.

Chinese McDonald’s past flirtation with colored burgers began in 2012, with the release of its black and white “half burgers,” which were half the size of a normal McDonald’s burger. The black burger featured chopped onions, a black pepper sauce and a blackened bun topped with white sesame seeds. The white burger featured a sweet and spicy sauce with black sesame seeds adorning its colorless bun.

Unlike the black burgers served in Japanese Burger King establishments, which turned customers’ poop green, there have been no known side effects of eating the McDonald’s Modern China Burger.

What do you think, fascinating or flop? Will this fad fade fast or catch on? If there’s no accompanying healthy component to it, I predict it ends soon. It looks too much like a cold, communist, Chinese prison cell wall.
