A Short Review Of Sarah Palin’s Sean Hannity Interview

Hannity did a fair, but dull interview[1] and Palin gave fair, but dull responses. He didn’t ask a lot of hard questions, she didn’t make any mistakes, and all it all, I don’t think it was particularly helpful or harmful to the campaign.

I’m not opposed to softball interviews. In fact, that’s what I like to do. Find people who are interesting, ask them non-confrontational, but sometimes tough questions people want to know the answers to, and let them say their piece without trying to cut them off at the knees.

But, if you interview a politician and give them nothing but generic questions, they’ll generally come back at you with the campaign’s talking points. It makes for boring TV and it’s part of the reason I like to avoid interviewing politicians.
