Abu Musab al-Zarqawi: We Hate You For Your Freedom

The biggest name amongst the head sawing, suicide bombing, insurgents AKA terrorists AKA “the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen” if you’re a Michael Moore fan — “Abu Musab al-Zarqawi[1], head of the al-Qaida affiliate in Iraq” — has put out a new tape protesting Democracy in Iraq.

Apparently, he says that[2],

“democracy is based on un-Islamic beliefs and behaviors such as freedom of religion, rule of the people, freedom of expression, separation of religion and state, forming political parties and majority rule.”

So al-Qaida’s man in Iraq “is coming out against “freedom of religion”, “freedom of expression”, the “rule of the people”, and “majority rule”?

Gee, maybe it’s just me, but don’t you think all the left-wingers who snickered when George Bush said the terrorists, “hate our freedoms — our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom to vote and assemble and disagree with each other[3],” owe him an apology?
