‘But Make No Mistake …” — Obama Defends Handling of Oil Spill

by Donald Douglas | May 27, 2010 3:57 pm

That “but make no mistake” is the giveaway for President Obama’s damage control mode. The New York Times has a report, “Obama Defends Handling of Oil Spill[1].” Also, at Politico, “Obama: Critics ‘don’t know the facts’[2].” (Via Memeorandum[3].)

The big question is whether this is Obama’s Katrina[4], and there’s no contest. Unlike 2005, the response was not federalized across the different levels of government. Obama gets the blame, and it’s not conservatives who’re talkin’ the loudest, but top Democratic personalities[5]. Obama. Is. BP. Fail.
