Is The Daily Kos Going To Shut Cindy Sheehan Out?

Back in August of 2005, here’s what they were saying about Cindy Sheehan on the Daily Kos[1],

“…We should call her ‘Mother Sheehan’. We should never call her Cindy; I don’t know her. ‘Mother Sheehan’ is her title, and expresses her ceremonial status as a bereaved mother, calling forth over the dead body of her son. She is not a person now, she is a mother, which is not an expression of her individuality, but rather the expression of her eternal character: the mother, the bringer of life who has been wronged by state power.

…We should not use the name of her son. Her son is a symbol of all sons who have been sacrificed for this useless and criminal war.”

But, now that “Mother Sheehan” is no longer of use to them, she says that the Kossacks aren’t even going to allow her to keep posting diaries on Daily Kos. Here’s Cindy Sheehan’s latest Daily Kos diary[2] post,

“I have been “warned” I can’t post here anymore because my potential run for Congress is not on the Democratic ticket.

I have been deeply grateful for all of your support over the years. Your love and kindness helped me through lots of sleepless nights at Camp Casey ’05.

If Speaker Pelosi does her constitutionally mandated duty and I don’t run,
then I can come back and post.

I know a lot of you are hostile towards my candidacy. Please understand that I am doing it for your children and grandchildren (and my surviving ones.)

Love always,

But, but, but….I thought the liberals said that “Mother Sheehan” had ultimate moral authority? I guess that “ultimate moral authority” stuff only applies as long as you’re doing the bidding of the Democratic Party.
