Joe Biden: Let’s Invade Sudan!

After everything the Democrats have said about Iraq, it’s almost hard to believe that Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden[1] wants us to immediately invade Sudan so that we can get in the middle of a civil war in that country, but that’s exactly what he wants to do,

“Delaware’s Joe Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and a Democratic presidential candidate, called Wednesday for the use of military force to end the suffering in Darfur.

“I would use American force now,” Biden said at a hearing before his committee. “I think it’s time to put force on the table and use it.”

Biden said senior U.S. military officials in Europe told him that 2,500 U.S. troops could “radically change the situation on the ground now.”

…”We must set a hard deadline for Khartoum to accept a hybrid U.N.-AU force,” Biden said, referring to the capital of Sudan.

The Bush administration has always rejected use of military force in Darfur, partly because of a possible outcry, particularly in Muslim countries about hostile U.S. action in yet another Islamic country on the heels of the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.”

So while the Democrats are complaining non-stop about the fact that we haven’t surrendered in Iraq yet, about overstretch of the military, about how we can’t win because it’s a civil war, Joe Biden wants to start a new ground war in Sudan.

The answer to that shouldn’t just be “no,” it should be “Hell, No!” Sudan isn’t our problem and we shouldn’t make it our problem. Let somebody else play world policeman for a change and let’s see how they like it.

Let France, Germany, Spain, Canada, and the rest of the whining ninny brigades that don’t want to help us in Iraq send their troops into Sudan and maybe we can be a part of their “coalition” by sending a hospital ship or offering satellite reconnaissance to help them.

Let me add that even if it were in our interest to go into Sudan, which it most certainly is not, our military is already being forced to extend tours in Iraq and who knows what may happen in Iran or North Korea in the coming months that may demand our attention. Since that’s the case, we don’t need to be getting involved in…what do Democrats like to call conflicts like this again (?)…oh yes, wars of choice.

PS: If you’re liberal and think we should send troops to Sudan…Again what do Democrats like to say in situations like this (?)…oh yeah, if you think we should invade Sudan, then you should join the military so you can go fight over there…chickenhawk.

PS #2: Why doesn’t Joe Biden sign his kids up for the military and send them to Sudan? Isn’t that what a lib would say if the situation were reversed?
