Let the Majority Rule as Long as It’s a Democrat Majority

In an interview with the Huffington Post[2], Democrat House Speaker called for an end to the Senate filibuster for the new Congress convening in January 2011.:  But just how realistic is San Fran Nan?:  And will she think the same if when the Republicans take over Congress?:  Surely she must remember 1994.

From the interview:

: Try majority rule for a change. Pelosi, in an interview with the Huffington Post, called for an end to the filibuster, which she labeled “the 60-vote stranglehold on the future.” Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that “the Senate has to go to 51 votes, and not 60 votes.”:  “It’s very doable. It’s just a decision. And one of the decisions that has to be made is that the Senate has to go to 51 votes and not 60 votes. Otherwise, we are totally at their mercy,” she said. “Unfortunately, [the difference between the parties] is muddled by the fact that we have these majorities, we have the White House, and they demand 60 votes.”:

What Pelosi fails to realize is that the Democrats have the majority not because the American people support their agenda.:  They have the majority because of the con and convoluted misrepresentations that they sold the American people during the 2008 election–just look at change.gov[3].:  The progressive con was so deep, coordinated[4], and calculated that the country is now divided and polarized between right and left.: : This is Obama’s America–divided–and divided we fail.:  We have become a dependent people by Democrat policy design, rather than an independent people–so many are now dependent on the federal government[5].

The American people are not supportive of: Obama’s progressive agenda[6], the centralization of the federal government, out of control spending, and health care takeover.:  They are not supportive of “financial regulation,” card-check, “climate change”/cap and trade, the bribes, the bailouts, the abandonment of Israel, and the American apology tour to name a few.:  Rather, they actually fear it[7].

What makes it even more difficult for Americans is the branding of these bills under the guise of good will and the right thing to do.:  However, the American people are becoming wise to the con and the supermajority has been eliminated–if only some Republicans would get wise and stop acting like a desperate ex–the Democrats will never be nice to you or take you back–they will always use you for convenience, blame you, and throw you under the bus.:  What is still unnerving is that the Democrats are still passing their legislative agenda and only have a few more items to go before they are finished “transforming” America.

The moral of this story is::  take: [her] House, the Senate, both chambers, or split Congress in the November elections.:  And, according to Charlie Cook[8]:  as explained by Moe Lane, it doesn’t look so good for the Democrats.

So, Nan, will a majority still rule if it is a Republican Congress?
