The 2007 Washington Briefing Summit, sponsored by the Family Research Council, is in the books. Dubbed the number one conference in the Country for ‘Value Voters’, the event drew over 5,000 people.
Straw Poll Results[1]
Conservatives with Attitude![2] was able to cover the event live over the last 2 days and wanted to share with you comments and recaps of the speeches from the GOP Presidential Candidates:
Sam Brownback[3]
Rudy Giuliani[4]
Mike Huckabee[5]
Duncan Hunter[6]
John McCain[7]
Ron Paul[8]
Mitt Romney[9]
Tom Tancredo[10]
Fred Thompson[11]
The straw poll results were interesting to say the least, but so were the issue results. Neither National Security or Illegal Immigration made the top 4, and Abortion and Marriage combined for over 60% as the top 2 most important issues. One can say that this was in fact, a value voters summit and these results reflect that.
