Atheists are demanding that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker remove to Bible verse from his Facebook and Twitter accounts, and Walker is telling them to pound sand.[1]

The verse says simply, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

“Governor Walker will not remove the post on his social media,” Walker spokeswoman press secretary Laurel Patrick said in an email. “The verse was part of a devotional he read that morning, which inspired him, and he chose to share it.”

Patrick said Walker’s social media accounts are frequently used “to engage with Wisconsinites on matters of public policy” as well as to give constituents “a sense of who he is.”

Good. In a country where politicians live in fear of aggrieved groups claiming to be offended, it’s nice to see someone who isn’t the least bit intimidated by these unreasonable demands.
