The Death of Osama Bin Laden Was a Direct Result of Enhanced Interrogations

From Fox News via the WaPo[1]:

“A member of the US Senate Intelligence Committee has told CNBC that the death of Osama Bin Laden was a direct result of enhanced interrogations.”

…………………..

“…in 2007, that terror suspects at the Guantanamo Bay military prison started giving up information about the key courier.”

……………….

“Current and former U.S. officials say that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, provided the nom de guerre of one of bin Laden’s most trusted aides. The CIA got similar information from Mohammed’s successor, Abu Faraj al-Libi. Both were subjected to harsh interrogation tactics inside CIA prisons in Poland and Romania.”

I doubt Pres. Obama will ever admit that in public, but he knows it to be true. Through Bush’s policies, Gitmo, rendition, and enhanced interrogation, we got the names of the couriers we needed that led to the killing of Osama. Pres. Obama had ended these, but thank God we already had the names we needed.

I’m not one of those who advocate waterboarding. I’m against it, but there is no denying the fact that this is how the names of the couriers were obtained. Some liberals are saying that the actual day they got this information, regular interrogation techniques were used. That is true. But do they really believe that the prisoner wasn’t thinking about the waterboarding that he had endured before? Come on! Do they not think that the interrogators threatened him with it? THAT is what got the information.

Whether we agree with the techniques used or not, it’s time for the left to acknowledge that they worked. I know Pres. Obama knows this now. The irony? It gave him the one good thing accomplished in this Presidency (in my opinion).
