This is what is called “a clean shoot”:
On August 23, an 89-year-old World War II veteran grabbed an armed robber’s gun, then pulled out his own gun and wrestled with the suspect before shooting him six times.
The veteran, Arthur M. Lewis, was working at his Lake Park, Florida, jewelry store around 3 p.m when Lennard Patrick Jervis allegedly entered the store with a revolver.
The Palm Beach Post reports that Lewis “immediately grabbed the suspect’s revolver and pulled out a .38 caliber handgun from his own pocket.” The men then “wrestled for several minutes and fired shots at each other” from close range.
The WWII veteran’s “left arm was grazed by a bullet,” but he received no other injuries. Jervis “was shot six times … including four times in the chest.”
The robber is expected to live.
Sounds like Lewis needs to get to the range and work on his grouping though.
