Here is my favorite skit from my favorite classic television show, “WKRP in Cincinnatti”—the Thanksgiving “Turkey Drop”
( I began my speckled journalism career years ago at a 50k watt AM news/rock radio station with an FM “sister” station which transitioned from “easy-listening” to ACID ROCK format during the time that I was there. I am here to say that “WKRP in Cincinnatti was not exaggerating ANYTHING about how crazy the radio business was back then! Yes, the radio sales guys really DID wear lime green polyester leisure suits! lol)
