A Serious Global Warming Report Based on……A Student’s Essay??

2009/10 may be the banner years for liberal propaganda and bad policy exposed. From Van Jones, to ACORN, to backroom deals, to the stimulus bill.

But nothing has been more exposed than the politics surrounding global warming. First, just before the summit on climate change in Copenhagen (which enjoyed a record blizzard during the summit), it was revealed that the basic raw data of the Climate Research Unit had been lost or deleted, leaving no way to reproduce and validate independently its principal conclusions about global warming. It was also revealed that one scientist at the Research Unit e-mailed other scientists to exclude skeptics of global warming from peer-review panels.

Lucky for all of us, this came out before Pres. Obama could use this data to push his expensive Cap and Trade legislation. But that was just the beginning.

Earlier this month, the IPCC (the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) had to admit that their Assessment Report that the glaciers in the Himalayas could vanish in 30 years was actually based on one conversation between a journalist and a single Indian scientist a decade ago. They admitted the report had been “poorly substantiated.” Gee. Ya think? Anything to promote one’s political agenda, right?

This week, It gets more embarrassing for the IPCC.

In a recent report, the IPCC observed reductions in mountain ice in the Andes, Alps and Africa were caused by global warming.

You would think that that kind of an amazing report would be backed by years of serious study and scientific data.

You would be wrong.

The report referred to two papers as the source of the information, but the Sunday Telegraph says one of the sources quoted was actually an article published in a magazine for mountaineers. The article was based on anecdotal evidence about the changes the authors were witnessing during climbs.”

The newspaper says the other source was a dissertation written by a geography student who was studying for a master’s degree at the University of Bern in Switzerland.
The dissertation reportedly quoted interviews with mountain guides in the Alps.

Gosh, what’s next for the IPCC to prove man made global warming? A report based on a Boulder Colorado 7th grade science project winner?

Seriously. This has become a joke. It’s time to start over in studying climate change. It’s time for politics to get out of science. It’s time to stop listening to hypocrites like Al Gore trying to make money off of global warming, and Hollywood actors hyping false propaganda.

It’s time for scientists who care more about science than politics to have integrity and begin again. “Going Green” should be about the green of the earth, not the green of money.
