ESPN Pulls Asian Announcer Named Robert Lee Off UVa Game To Avoid Offending liberals

If you thought that political correctness could go no farther in disappointing the human race and revealing the infinitely deep well of leftist stupidity, I have some news for you.

MSESPN has decided to pull ASIAN commentator Robert Lee from the University of Virginia football game because the rabbit hole never ends, guys.

It never ends.

This seems like it’s something that only The Onion would publish, but I have the unfortunate occasion of informing you that this is 100% real.

College football announcer Robert Lee has been removed from the University of Virginia games because his name may be offensive to some people.

Have I mentioned that the man is Asian?

Now ESPN maintains that Lee was not forced from his position and that the switch “felt right to all parties.” After the story was posted to Outkick the Coverage, ESPN released an official statement about the situation.

“We collectively made the decision with Robert to switch games as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name. In that moment it felt right to all parties. It’s a shame that this is even a topic of conversation and we regret that who calls play by play for a football game has become an issue.”

I don’t care if he consented to the switch, the point is that he couldn’t do his job because some snowflake somewhere might get offended by his name. This is the kind of political correctness that is ruining this country. We can’t even have a football announcer who just happens to have the same name as a Confederate general because some morons got together to fight over a statue. How sad this that?

I don’t believe our Founding Fathers would recognize this country and they sure as hell wouldn’t be proud.
