Obama Gay Cover-Up!

As everybody who reads RWN knows, I do love the trash tabloid beat and when I see a story like this one on the Globe, you know it has to make Right Wing News,

The story is built around Larry Sinclair, whom I’d currently put at about the Seymour Hersh, Bill Burkett, Scott Thomas Beauchamp level of credibility. Of course, aren’t liberals always saying to keep an open mind? So, perhaps we should consider this story from the Globe without prejudging whether it’s true or false,

Outraged Michelle Obama is masterminding an elaborate cover-up to prevent a new gay scandal from tarnishing the President, sources tell the Globe in a sensational world exclusive.

The furious first Lady has made it her mission to silence author Larry Sinclair, who has written a book called Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, sex, Lies, Murder, insiders reveal

In the work, Sinclair, 47, details the sordid fling he claims to have had with Barack Obama in 1999. He also accuses the President of abusing cocaine on at least two occasions.

“The people in the background of the Obama Administration have done everything in their power to stop my book,” Sinclair tells Globe.

…Sinclair also claims that Donald Young, the gay choir director of Obama’s former church in Chicago, had confessed to having an affair with the future President before being mysteriously murdered in 2007.

“Donald was an openly gay male and by his own admission was involved in an intimate and sexual relationship with Barack Obama for years,” Sinclair writes.

Let’s see, Barack Obama. Not that manly. Admits he used coke. Married to mannish wife with big, muscular arms (although in all fairness, she does have a nice behind). Could he have done coke and had gay sex with an ex-con Larry Sinclair? It doesn’t seem completely implausible. Still, in all fairness, without any further evidence and with just the Globe on the story, it’s hard to give Larry Sinclair’s story too much credence. However, if it does turn out to be true, well then Barack Obama — come on out of the closet, man.

PS #1: In running this, I think am conforming to the Mary Mapes standard of journalism,

I had to laugh to myself at some of the panel’s rigid, legalistic ideas of how reporting should work. With these guys running the newsroom, the details of Watergate would have stayed with Deep Throat in the parking garage. Based on their questioning, I’m convinced that Dick Thornburgh would have found Mark Felt an inadequate source, clearly a person with an agenda or political and personal motivations, something he and the panel thought was inappropriate.

Laugh if you want, but she worked for CBS for 15 years and won a Peabody award.

PS #2: As weak as this story is, it’s still stronger than the McCain/Vicki Iseman affair story that the New York Times ran with last year.
