Despite the flap over the failure to launch of the 20-week abortion ban bill last week, the House did pass one abortion bill that may end up strangling funding for the abortion mill operator called Planned Parenthood.

The house voted to cut off all federal funding for abortion. That means that the billions that Democrats steal from our federal treasury to give to Planned Parenthood would be ended.
On the 42nd anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark abortion rights decision, Roe v. Wade, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass a bill that would codify a ban on federal funding for abortions. The bill would prevent women from having heir abortions covered by medicaid, effectively restricting a woman’s ability to buy private insurance plans that include abortion coverage; and deny small businesses a tax credit.
This also means that any credit received by the Affordable Care Act will be nullified, if they include abortion care in their health insurance plans. It would also prevent the District of Columbia from using its own local funds to subsidize abortion care.
Democrats tried to use a procedural move on Thursday to send the bill back a step, which is when the Republicans rejected the motion and passed the bill. Democrats cited that it would be amended to “prohibit any violation of the medical privacy of a woman regarding her personal choice of healthcare insurance coverage, including victims of rape and incest.” Social conservatives celebrated the defunding of abortions, while saying, “This is another victory for taxpayers, women, and their unborn children.”
Let’s hope the Senate can confirm this one and then Congress can pass it over the President’s veto.
