Cable Channel TLC Pulls ’19 Kids And Counting’ After Revelations of Son’s Molestation Charges

Friday was the day that revelations turned white hot that reality TV actor Josh Duggar was charged with molesting several teen girls back in 2006 when he was 14 years old. Josh Duggar is a member of the Duggar family whose TV show 19 Kids And Counting has been airing on the TLC cable channel for years. Now it looks like TCL is pulling the show off the air.

Josh’s molestation charges were known in the past and why it is only now suddenly a big deal is not known. This isn’t really very “new” news. But whatever the case, the story is big news this week.

Josh ended up quitting his job at the conservative Family Research Council on Friday, but the cable channel was still airing episodes of his family TV show. But now they’ve pulled it while they figure out how much this story is going to affect the show.

At first the cable network–which had scheduled a marathon of episodes of the show for this week–began to monkey around with the episode order to remove the ones that focused on Josh. Then it replaced a few blocks of the show with another one of its reality shows.

But now the network has official pulled all scheduled episodes of 19 Kids And Counting “effective immediately” until they can figure out where to go with the series from here.
