ALERT! Texas Shooting At Ft. Worth Dance Club Kills 2, Injures 4

Another shooting has occurred in America, this time at a dance studio in Fort Worth, Texas. Two are reported dead and several injured, police say.

Apparently the shooting began during a large party that was occurring inside and outside the Studio 74 Dance school. The party was called an “unauthorized” event, according to the school’s owner.

Early this morning, Fox News reported

Two people were killed and several others injured early Saturday in a shooting outside a Texas dance studio during a party involving a group that the facility’s owner said wasn’t authorized to be there.

Officers found one victim dead outside Studio 74 in Fort Worth, and several people were transported to hospitals — one of whom died from his injuries, Fort Worth police spokesman Daniel Segura said in a statement.

Laura Reyna, owner and artistic director of the studio, called it an unauthorized event. She said she didn’t even know the group of about 60 people was there until one of her instructors called her at 12:45 a.m. to report a commotion at the facility.

So far it appears likely that the shooting was alcohol fueled and not an act of terrorism. It is also likely that the shooting was gang related. The dance studio is located in a gang infested area of the city.

The owner of the dance studio issued a message on Facebook saying:

To all studio family, fans and supporters, first I would like to thank all of you for the calls, concerns and prayers that have been sent my way. I’m writing to respond to your concerns in regards to the incident that occurred in the parking lot of Studio 74. We as dance family had no involvement with the incident that occurred last night. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. Please continue to pray for them.
