Jerry Seinfeld and his family thought it would be a fun idea to set up a lemonade stand in the Hamptons and donate the proceeds to charity. But like Seinfeld’s Soup Nazi, local police decided to say “no lemonade for you” and shut the stand down.

The Seinfelds had set the stand up to raise money for Jessica Seinfeld’s Baby Buggy charity, which helps “families in need across the country with essential gear, clothing, products and services for children” 14 and younger, according to its website.
But, as is always the case, some jerk of a neighbor complained and the cops came down like the gestapo to put an end to the “outlaw lemonade stand.”
A lemonade stand generating money for a charity run by the sometime East Hampton resident’s wife, Jessica Seinfeld, was shut down recently, apparently after an irritated neighbor complained to police, according to published reports.
Jessica Seinfeld posted on her Instagram page a photo of her husband, their son and other youths — hands behind their heads in mock surrender — with an East Hampton Village Police car in the background.
She also posted: “Lemonade dreams crushed by local neighbor but not before raising lots of money for @loverecycled. Thanks to all of our customers and big tippers! thanks Xander and Jaden for crushing it today with Julian and Jerry.”
In a second post Wednesday on Instagram she offered a picture of a story in the East Hampton Press, complimenting the paper about its coverage of their “outlaw lemonade stand.”
“People always talk about how kids today need to get back to the basics, and when [they] do, they change their mind”.
These cops and the snooty neighbors should have minded their own business.
