A Muslim man in Pakistan was apprehended by police after he shot and killed his 18 year-old sister because he felt that she had dishonored the family by doing something that no true Muslim would do.
She married a Christian man.
That’s it folks. That gets you a bullet in the head no matter what. You want to talk about real hatred and intolerance of other people’s religion? Here it is.
Mubeen Rajhu, a 24 year-old who comes from Lahore, murdered his 18 year-old sister, Tasleem, by shooting her in the head in August because she refused the family’s order when she decided to marry a Christian man.
According to The Associated Press, Rajhu declared that he committed the monstrous act after he was provoked by his co-workers who witnessed Tasleem walking in the neighborhood with a Christian man.
Rajhu was arrested and sent to the local police headquarters for over a month, where he’s being held.
Before his sister was to be married, Rajhu demanded that she swear on the Quran that she wouldn’t marry the Christian man and even though the man converted to Islam to show that he was serious about his love for Tasleem, that wasn’t enough to save her life.
Rajhu confessed:
“I told her I would have no face to show at the mill, to show to my neighbors, so don’t do it. Don’t do it. But she wouldn’t listen, I could not let it go. It was all I could think about. I had to kill her. There was no choice.”
In this sick monster’s mind, taking a life that wasn’t his own is justifiable…because people where making fun of him. Rajhu had been egged on for so long by other Muslims, that there was no other choice than to take a gun and shoot his baby sister in the head.
