After serving some local police officers, a waitress in Louisiana gave the officers a pleasant surprise when they got their bill.

Crystal Gordon, a waitress for Ichiban restaurant in Baton Rouge ended up paying for the officer’s lunch and left this great note…

The officers, Brandon Blust, Dustin Conde and Fred Thorton, posted about it on Facebook. A photo of the receipt has since gone viral, garnering nearly 48,000 likes.
“When we thanked her she broke down in tears and told us how sad she was because of how people have been targeting police,” Blust wrote on Facebook. “We all couldn’t stop from sharing this emotional moment and how much we appreciate the great people of this city.”
Gordon saw the photo of the receipt on Facebook and seemed shocked by the positive reaction.
“So many people have done things for me and it’s only right for me to do the same for others. I was told ‘you don’t need to pay us back, just pay it forward.’ And that’s all I did here,” she wrote in a comment.
We need more stories like this, don’t we?
