So far the history of those so-called “hate crime” laws has been that only white people are ever charged under the rule. Now it looks like nothing is changing in Detroit with the announcement that a Muslim who stabbed two people because they aren’t Muslims WILL NOT be charged with a hate crime…. despite that his crime clearly fits the description.
Of course, the idea of a “hate crime” is idiotic. Worse, thus far it has been used only as a means of attack on white people by PC government lackeys in our purported “justice” system. Laughably this guy in Detroit is being excused from committing a “hate crime”…
Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper didn’t charge a Detroit man with a hate crime after it’s suspected he stabbed two people at a Southfield bus stop, possibly motivated by religious hate.
Nick Loussia, Deputy Chief of Police for the Southfield Police Department, said the suspect, 39-year-old Terrence Lavaron Thomas, “is Muslim, and asked the victims what religion they were” before allegedly attacking them.
He’s charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent and possession of marijuana.
Oakland County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Paul Walton said the evidence doesn’t support a 2-year felony charge of ethnic intimidation, although investigators are still interviewing witnesses.
I agree it is a faux law in the first place, but it is a law on the books and it should be applied here. It is clear as clear can be that this guy attacked his two victims because he hates non-Muslims. He should be charged with a hate crime.
