Pope Ignores Dozens of Democracy Protesters Arrested As He Visited Like-Minded Castro Brothers

Pope Francis is gaining a nasty reputation as an out of touch socialist who neither knows any thing about, nor cares about people in the middle class–despite that Popes are supposed to care about everyone. This week he visited the Island-wide jail that is Cuba and this visit hasn’t done a thing to reverse the assumption that this pope is a communist who sides with dictators.

As this red pope visited the vicious Castro brothers he met with all sorts of people… well, everyone but the dissidents in Cuba who are fighting for freedom and democracy. And then, as he visited the country, dozens of these dissidents were arrested and put in jail for wishing to gain freedom for the Cuban people.

And what did the red pope do? Nothing. Francis ignored the whole thing.

Cuban authorities prevented leading dissidents from meeting Pope Francis in Havana on Sunday, in a sign of the Communist regime’s rigid intolerance of political opposition.

Two well-known dissidents, Marta Beatriz Roque and Miriam Leiva, had been invited by the Vatican to attend a vespers service led by the Pope’s in Havana’s historic baroque cathedral.

But they said they were detained by security agents and barred from attending the event.

“They told me that I didn’t have a credential and that I couldn’t go to the Pope’s event that was taking place there in the plaza of the Cathedral,” Ms Roque said.

She said that she and Ms Leiva had also been invited by the Vatican to meet Pope Francis at the residence of the Holy See’s ambassador to Cuba shortly after the pontiff’s arrival on Saturday, but that they were detained on that occasion as well.

As all that happened, the red pope turned away and refused to even acknowledge it was happening.

This pope is a disaster for Catholics in particular and the west in general.
