The rather profane website Gawker.com released Donald Trump’s phone number this week thinking that it would really hurt The Donald as he runs for the GOP nomination for president. But Trump got the last laugh when he changed the number’s answering message into a Trump campaing commercial.

Saying, “We think it’s only fair and right that Republican primary voters be able to reach out to Trump himself,” Gawker released a cell number it thought was one of Trump’s numbers.
Turns out it was a Trump number, but Trump says it was an old one he doesn’t use much.
Still, what Trump did next was hilarious. He turned Gawker’s attempt to inconvenience him on its ear and turned it into a positive by making it into a campaign commercial. Now when people call the number they get this message:
Hi, this is Donald Trump and I’m running for the presidency of the United States of America. With your support and help, we can make America truly great again… Hope to see you on the campaign trail. We’re going to do it.”
Trump then Tweeted the number himself…
Thank you @gawker! Call me on my cellphone 917.756.8000 and listen to my campaign message.

This is one of the reasons why Trump is getting so much traction.
