After having been called racists and xenophobes for opposing illegal immigration, conservatives find themselves vindicated after a bombshell immigration report was dropped.

Via Fox News Latino, we learn that deportations have dropped to their lowest level in President Obama’s six years in office:
Fewer immigrants were deported in the last year than ever during the Obama administration, according to the Los Angeles Times,which obtained a draft report by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The newspaper noted that the drop – deportations were down by 14 percent – occurred despite a rise in the number of people who illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border.
So government figures show that illegal border crossings are up, yet deportations are down. And an investigative report by a Texas TV station could reveal why that’s the case: the process set up by the federal government for moving forward with deportation cases is flawed to the point of being a failure.
Many thousands of illegal immigrants, including unaccompanied minors, have simply “disappeared” from the government’s tracking system — vanishing into the U.S. population with little if any hope of finding them.

To any sane person, this is appalling, but on some level we already knew it was happening. This is just a slap in the face to hard-working LEGAL immigrants, who jumped through all of the hoops to become citizens.
