A thug on a train in Philadelphia decided he wanted to see a young woman’s baby, and he wasn’t going to take no for an answer. He tried to pull back the blanket around the baby, demanding to hold it, even though the mother wanted to be left alone. At one point he reportedly said, “The rats are coming to get us,” a sign he may have been high. That’s when a pastor stepped in.
The Conservative Tribune reports,
Tameka Bates, pastor at a local evangelical church, placed herself in between the mother with child and the man harassing her.
As the man shifted back and forth, attempting to get around Tameka to reach the baby he was focused on, Tameka repeatedly declared, “The blood of Jesus is against you.”
The man would still not stop, causing Tameka to proclaim, “The Lord God rebuke you in the name of Jesus. You will not touch this woman!”
Eventually, the train came to a stop, and both the mother and Tameka quickly exited the car, while the man stayed on.
Shortly after this incident occurred he violently assaulted a SEPTA officer, resulting in his arrest.
Pastor Bates has a lot of guts, considering the man turned out to be violent. Goes to show the blood of Jesus was protecting not just the baby but her and the mother as well. Watch the chilling video below, as Bates pivots her body between the attacker and the mother.
