The events of the past few days, Iran taking 10 U.S. sailors hostage, has been very traumatic for me because I lived through the humiliation of the Iranian Hostage Crisis in 1979. I was 16 years old and I expected our military to mount a rescue the same way Israel rescued their people from terrorists captors in Entebbe in 1976. We were the United States, a superpower; we can do the same thing, no sweat, right?
